Industrial vibe in less than 40sqm.

Open space concept? We all love it. And want it. But this is almost always very expensive, and for most of us (mortals) impossible dream. Maybe one day, in galaxy far far away..
The question is, does industrial interior design must include glorious open space of 100sqm., with many concrete surfaces? I'm mad about it, but is this really necessary for strong industrial vibe?
Less is very often more, but NEVER when it comes to the dimensions of space. Still, functional concept and many design tricks are solution for lack of space. I'll share with you a couple examples of modest industrial spaces, which can be an inspiration for your small place.

YELLOW TOUCH APARTMENT
This 25sqm. apartment is located in Rome, and designed by Italian architectural studio BrainFactory
Open plan living area, which includes a kitchenette, full heights cabinets, a comfotable work plan that acts as a table, and sofa bed. In this way it optimizes an environment of small dimensions without giving up comforts of a larger apartment. Larger not LARGE. If you have common sense you must know that no one trick will be able to make 40sqm. into 100sqm. But it can give you some more comfort in daily life.
What exactly in this apartment provides industrial vibe? Nothing special actually. Lighting and wood fiber chipboard (OSB), and maybe a floor. This isn't enough industrial for my taste. But it gives this small apartmant as much as necessary to feel some industrial statement.
I must add that the artwork on the walls very appealing, and remind me of ilustrations by my friend @pile_istoka.

ONE STUDIO
Located in Kharkov, Ukraine, this 18sqm. loft with 5meters high ceiling is an awesome example of space packing. I can't imagine two person living in small area of 18sqm, but OneStudio make it possible.
First, they made gallery with bedroom space, and 18sqm become almost 30qsm. It is quite spacious, considering the possibilities. Next to that, every inch of the apartment is utilized with storage space. The stairs double as draswers and multi-purpose shelves are found throught the apartment. The only thing that I really miss is larger kitchen space. I don't think that this kind of space is enough for normal cooking and living. All thought, there is a home delivery.
Where is THE industrial vibe? Well, EVERYWHERE ;)
